The Road Not Taken

Life is often viewed as a metaphorical journey.

There is no obvious road or path we must follow and it’s difficult to predict where each road will lead. Our choices will determine where we end up. Have you ever wondered what might have happened, had you made a choice coming from a place of love rather than fear? It’s a big question.

What if?

Let’s try and view the path of life as a road. It could be a bendy one with blind spots, with unknown twists and turns. How about a straight safe motorway with very few views along the route. There’s an open road with hills and valleys, mountains and sunsets for company, calling our soul to listen. But how many of us are listening?

Intuition is our higher navigational system that gets stronger the more the outside noise reduces. Better choices are always made when we feel and not think. When life is calm and quietness is easily accessible, better decisions can be made.

It’s been said that people end up exactly where they are supposed to be. The journey getting there will determine the experience. A smooth road or a bumpy one? It all comes down to choices.

Writing in a journal can greatly help reduce the noise around you. Once our thoughts begin to quiet, intuition gets stronger.
